SATURDAY DINNER CLASSICS is an innovative new classical music series at the White Horse Black Mountain directed by Daniel Weiser combining great food and exciting chamber music. The debut program unites delicious fresh food from the Morning Glory Cafe and music presented by Keowee Chamber Music with flutist/Artist Director Kate Steinbeck, cellist Kathy Foster, and pianist Daniel Weiser. The program is entitled "Mothers of Invention: Great Women Composers" and features music by the 19th century French composer, Louise Farrenc, 20th century African-American composer Undine Smith Moore, and contemporary Welsh composer Hillary Tann along with Germaine Tailleferre and more. Cost for both food and music is $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Food begins at 5:30 PM with music starting around 6:30 PM. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED by September 9.
