Immediate Theatre Project

On any given night in Asheville, there exist passageways to whole other worlds. Walk through the right door and take the right seat and you may find yourself carried away to a cursed land in ancient Greece, to a haunted castle in Denmark, to a polite Victorian drawing room, to a remote Irish village, to a brash big city, to the middle of nowhere in the heart of the action. This is theatre’s greatest magic trick, accomplished with as little as words, gestures and the slightest suspension of disbelief.  Theater in Asheville exists in almost every form—from full productions of hit Broadway musicals to intimate monologues delivered on the most unconventional of stages. Get in on the action. Allow yourself to be transported.
